Buddies – Our Experienced Volunteers

ISA Power volunteers, known as “buddies,” are here for you!

Would you like a companion to help you overcome your eating disorder?

As a volunteer Buddy, you contribute to supporting and improving the lives of clients struggling with eating issues. Volunteers do not receive payment but offer their time out of a commitment to society.

Our Buddies understand firsthand how difficult and challenging the recovery process can be—and they are here to help.

What can our Buddies do for you?

  • Share a cup of tea or coffee together

  • Support you through WhatsApp, SMS, or email

  • Video call to offer encouragement during tough moments

  • Take a walk or do something enjoyable together

Buddies are supported by our volunteer coordinator. All buddies receive the BUDDY UP training (valued at €349) by Isabelle Plasmeijer, to develop their professional skills and ensure knowledgeable and respectful support for clients and parents. As an experienced BUDDY, you learn to use your own experience in a professional way.

Would you like a Buddy to support your recovery process, or are you recovered and interested in becoming a Buddy?
